Cultural Heritage Centre
This project was self funded by myself and a small group of Edinburgh University students. The project for a cultural heritage centre for the Ule Papar region of the Borneo rainforrest would act as an actor in resisting the government dam project that threatened the region.
Our design was chosen largely of architecture students at Edinburgh University, bolstered by engineering students from other universities.
This project was undertaken to learn by doing and as a team we had no supervisor when undertaking the design, feasibility and construction of the project. Innovating where necessary as we constructed in foreign territory and under unfamiliar environmental conditions.
